Yesterday was a long, but awesome day. I arrived around 9:00 AM just as worship was getting started. Jeremy Riddle was the worship leader – and yes, he sung one of his songs that is on my all-time favorites list, “Sweetly Broken”. It was amazing.
Dr. Leonard Sweet spoke in the morning session and I had the privilege of being his “VJ” (ie. Video Jockey) during his morning and afternoon sessions. A “VJ” is an emerging term for people who control the video screen during a speech, lecture, etc – showing images, videos, and elements during the talk.
Last night’s “Night of Worship” was amazing. We started out with Aaron Shust and then Laura Story. I’ve met Laura several times and I’m supposed to hook her up to Twitter this week – so hit her Facebook page and say “time to get on twitter” … next time she sees me she’ll say “what did you do???”. Seriously, this girl was amazing – both as a musician, a songwriter, and a worship leader. It was one of my favorite times in worship in quite a while. Then she joined Mac Powell and the Glory Revealed crew for an incredible time of worship and ministry.
We concluded the night with our “Meet Up” at Grace Church down the road. We had a great crowd as we gathered together, had some refreshments, and recorded a live podcast/broadcast with myself, Ben and Wisdom from the AllAboutWorship Podcast, and Integrity Music Artist, Glenn Packiam.
That got me home at 1:00 AM – followed by a 6:30 AM wakeup call this morning. I’m pretty sleepy. Travis Cottrell took care of that with an amazing morning of praise and worship.
I’ve uploaded several video highlights of last night’s worship on “TheWorshipCommunity.Com” Channel at YouTube. Go check those out, Subscribe to the YouTube channel, and share with your friends!
