My Worship Confessional for SSCC

For the 2nd week in a row, I was not at my home church.  Last week I was visiting a church in Kansas, and this week I visited First Baptist of Gainesville, GA with my wife’s family.  It’s her Mom’s 75th birthday this weekend so we’ve been celebrating and vacationing up here on Lake Lanier.

I enjoy all types of worship services and it was nice singing hymns from the hymnbook and hearing the choir do special music.  I attempted to watch Shannon Lewis lead our 9:00 AM service on our LiveStream channel from SSCC but they were having some weird audio problems.  That’s something I’ll get to work on when we return home this week.

I look forward to seeing more of your worship service recaps in the links below!  I’ll let Shannon share our worship recap from SSCC.

Below is the “twubs” display for anyone on Twitter posting their #sundaysetlists information … be sure and share it with your followers: (the twubs display may take a moment to load)

That’s a wrap for us.  Time for you to share your worship setlists!  Remember, make sure your URL is the full URL to your blog post, and not your blog’s homepage.  Pretty please.

  4. Lori Biddle says:

What a blast! We went Southern style and everyone had a blast! This is a big deal when you are definitely NOT southern, the possibility is high that going to sound authentic. But our amazing team and leaders, pulled it off beautifully. Very proud of everyone’s hard work! God is SO good!

  5. Eddy Mann says:

We commissioned one of our young team members for a year long Youth Encounter Ministry opportunity. It felt great to see our second disciple take to the road. God Bless…

  6. Russ Hutto says:

Had a great day today. We had a celebration through music and song for the entire gathering time. And also kind of combined it with a celebration of my time at HOJ (since I’ll be moving on at the end of the month).

    It was neat.

  7. HL says:

We continued our acoustic summer which will end in a few more weeks. It’s been a blast but I’m ready to get the full band up again and bring out my electrics again 🙂 It’s really good to see what everyone else is doing this summer. Many blessings…HL

  8. Brad Hafner says:

After a month off our team is glad to be back on the platform. Enjoy your time of reflection, Fred.

Greetings everyone. I’m new to the site and caught up with the Fred McKinnon site through Twitter. I’m interested to see just what others are doing in worship and using as resources. Thanks for the opportunity. Have a great week!

just wanted to say “thanks” for continuing to host this week in and week out! 🙂

  16. Jennifer says:

I’m not at home this week, and my daughter woke up feeling sick – meaning I stayed @ my father-in-law’s house with her & missed attending their church today. But I was able to stream church from Table Rock Fellowship in Oregon for a bit and really enjoyed attending church from the couch!

It was a nice week off, and (hopefully) I’ll be worshiping from the pews next week as well. Oh and for Brent & Tam – really enjoyed it – thanks for leading the many people you lead each week both in and out of the building!

  17. Jim Drake says:

Hey FRED.. PICK ME FOR THE $600 gifts.. please

Interesting day–said goodbye to another staff member today. Worship was good but tentative.. trying to get people to praise in the midst of change is hard.

    Continue to pray for us!

  18. marina says:

I had a friend visit today – always interesting to get perspective from the outside looking in – she enjoyed the entire service, felt like she heard God confirming what He’s been saying to her about a few different things. Tech transitions were good – video/lights cue was perfectly seamless. Love when that happens. I actually sat and listened to the entire sermon without having to check in on the tech crew. Very nice work boys!
