I think that's great. I teach piano lessons now instead of a "real" job. I write songs (never published)as God (through the Holy Spirit)gives me the words and music. But I still have this feeling that there is something else that I am supposed to be doing. I have a little bit of an idea, but can't seem to completely grasp what it is. And it definitely would be commercial, I guess, because it entails a product that is distributed. And I know in the idea, or feeling, it is for revenue (piano lessons great, but don't give the support as an "outside" job). But at the same time, it is a place of carrying out the Word. I have been given "words" to carry forth. So far I have written them down as they were given and gave them to a few (very carefully, very prayerfully). Then, next I was given "words" in the song format, much easier to give to someone. You can say, "I wrote this song for you". But I also find that, though, the songs may be given for a specific person in something they are going through, or to me to carry me on in the work that He wants me to do... I also feel that they are for everyone. Of course, getting the music published will help do that. But I also feel there is something else... another way that I am to spread the Word. It's okay. I believe it's okay to be a minister, song writer, entrepreneur... By God's grace... let's carry the message any way He allow, any door He opens for us. He has given us the intelligence to think in these manners, the creativity, the "spark". We're supposed to "Just Do It" Keep it moving. Keep it current. Keep it fresh and alive.
