In just about 7 days … I will be unveiling something new … something that’s been in the works for a couple of years. And by this time next week, it should be prepapred. So stay tuned … and keep a close watch on this blog … ‘cuz I’ll post it here for sure.

Other than that, it was a crazy day … the biggest, most frustrating event of the day was my Ebay fiasco. As you may know, I like to sell stuff on Ebay for some extra cash … (or it used to be “extra cash” – now it’s part of our budget!). All of a sudden, for no reason at all, I get these emails from Ebay today that my account has been suspended and all my listings have been removed.

Well, “spoof emails” like this come in my email box by the hundreds every day – they LOOK LIKE they are coming from Ebay, but when you click the links you can discover that they are REALLY going to somebody else’s site that LOOKS LIKE Ebay, and they attempt to collect your personal details. Well … this was no “spoof” email .. this was the real thing. It read something like this:

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the eBay community.

Per Section 9 of the eBay User Agreement, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way including registering a new account.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

What really stinks is that Ebay has no phone support. They have suspended my account, they have not told me why, and they removed ALL OF THE PRODUCTS that I spent HOURS listing. What’s worse – SEVERAL of those products ALREADY HAD WINNING BUYERS … even some higher priced items. So, now I’m left at the mercy of Ebay’s customer service department which only replies to email, and cannot guarantee a response within 24-48 hours. As for all those products – the listings are forever gone .. and the ones that were already going to definitely sell – I’ve lost that income. What a huge frustration.

I don’t understand what happened – I’ve not broken any Ebay rules (that I’m aware of). This happened once before because someone apparently hijacked my account and was doing some “no-no” stuff on there. It got resolved rather quickly, but was still a nuisance. All this fraud drives me nuts.

Finally – thanks for your prayers for Will. He’s much better today and we continue to pray that his recovery will be speedy. We went swimming at the neighbors house tonight and he was jumping off the diving board and carrying on quite a bit … so it’s nice to see him smiling.
