Ebay Saga … continued
Posted on July 19th, 2005 in Old-General by Fred McKinnonHey Ya’ll -
Just a quick update to those of ya who were following it … my Ebay saga continues …
Alas, today I finally received a reply from them … basically, they said (quoted)
Thank you for contacting eBay regarding the suspension of your account.
I reviewed our records and found that your account was suspended under
Section 9 of the eBay User Agreement. The section is entitled “Breach”
and states:“Without limiting other remedies, we may immediately remove your item
listings, warn our community of your actions, issue a warning,
temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership
and refuse to provide our services to you if: (a) you breach this
Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference; (b) we are
unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or
(c) we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal
liability for you, our users or us.”
So … basically, I still have no clue what I may have “unintentionally” done to “breach” their User Agreement.
Nevertheless, I followed the instructions in their email and faxed 11 pages worth of documents verifying my identity, business practices, etc. They said it could take up to 2 business days for the review to be completed and for my account to possibly be reinstated … we’ll see.
Pressin on!
FRED

Hello Fred!
I’ve had trouble with ebay in the past, too… but I think I am good standings now… I didn’t get a fruit basket or anything – but I know they like me – they really like me…
So am I missing anything over at the CMD lists?
Blessings,
Dan McGowan
