Exciting Announcement re: “Restless” Piano Solo
Posted on April 5th, 2006 in Music, Old-General by Fred McKinnonHey Everyone -
Well as promised, I’m excited to share my announcement today. For those who were holding out in hopes that the secret new Fred McKinnon instrumental is being released … keep holding out. This year, I hope and pray!
This week, I was honored and blessed that an incredible composer and orchestral arranger, Jace Vek, has agreed to do an orchestral adaptation of “Restless”. (Jace Vek Photo, left) I’ve always dreamed of having some of my piano compositions orchestrated, and it is finally going to happen! For you piano purists out there, don’t worry – I’ll always have the pure version availalbe! If you’d like to listen to “Restless”, it’s featured as the opening song on my “MySpace” page. Please take a listen and rate it for me.
Some of you may remember the name “Jace Vek”. Jace orchestrated David Nevue’s “The Vigil” last year and the response was incredible.
If you’d like to listen to Jace’s orchestral adaptation of David Nevue’s “The Vigil”, it will give you a good vision of what “Restless” could sound like. (listen now)
You can hear more of Jace Vek’s music and orchestrations on both of his websites below:

Obviously, there is a cost in having this arrangement completed. I don’t have CD’s to sell yet, but if you are blessed by the music and ministry and would like to make a tax-deductible donation to help underwrite the costs, it should would be a blessing. Your donation would be made to “Worship International, Inc.”, our non-profit corporation. Who knows – if there is enough support we may raise enough to fund the studio time for the new instrumental. To make a donation, just click here.
It should be 2-3 weeks minimum before we hear something. I can’t wait to post it for my fans, and I’m confident it will be marvelous.
Until then – may the Lord bless you mightily!
For the Kingdom,
Fred
