May 1 – Monday morning update

Posted on May 1st, 2006 in Family by Fred McKinnon

Hey Everyone -

Today is May 1 – a new day, a new month.  Our little “Andrew Joseph” is now 1-1/2 weeks old and is currently with his Mommie at his first checkup with the pediatrician.

It’s also “crack down time” at our house.  “Nanna” (Joy’s mom) has been with us a few weeks – since before Andrew was born while she was on bedrest.  It’s been awesome having her Mom and Dad down here.  They were such a huge help … with a new mommie, not to mention 3 others (we have 4 kids – all 5 or younger!) … my working, and other stuff – it’s been beyond expression how much a blessing it was.  I had a recurring back injury so I wasn’t very mobile either.  Something always seems to happen when it’s baby time – mabye it’s sympanthy pains!

Anyway – Joy’s parents went back home yesterday – so now Joy and I crack down and try to form some sort of “battle plan” for getting these little critters scheduled and operating with some efficiency.  Maybe it’s time to go rent “Cheaper by the Dozen”.

I’m expecting a proof of Jace Vek’s orchestral adaption of my song “Restless” today as well.  He’d said it would take up to two weeks, so I’m eager to hear something.  Pastor Dan at my church is also encouraging me GREATLY and holding me accountable to get a new instrumental out … THIS SUMMER.

Lots of other stuff going on – but for now, just wanted to say and wish everyone a GREAT WEEK.

For the Kingdom,

Fred
