From the Word … 1 Cor 15:58

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been reading in the New Living Translation (NLT) a lot this year – just for a different perspective on the Word in more contemporary language. I keep a few other translations nearby and often compare them if I feel like I’m missing something. There have been several times when a verse has been exceptionally refreshing for me, though.

This morning was one of those times as I was reading in the 15th chapter of 1 Corinthians, verse 58:

“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless“. (1 Cor. 15:58) [emphasis mine]

What an encouragement to us as we start out our week.

For the Kingdom,
Fred

“…knowing that nothing you do for the Lord is useless.”

I’m wanting to feast on that one!

I have been reading the NLT as well. I got it when my pastor started reading a good bit from it. While not one I would want to use exclusively for intensive Bible Study, it is definitely a refreshing read!

That is indeed an encouragement. That means we don’t have to go by what we see with our natural eye and can just know that there are eternal rewards in the picture! wonderful!
