This is for all worship bloggers … so please check this out, and consider forwarding to your email list, blogging it yourself, posting bulletins on social networking sites, etc …

As many of you know, worship leaders all around the world have joined in a very cool blogging technique called “Worship Confessionals”. I think that this all started with Carlos @ RagamuffinSoul.Com, but it’s now gotten pretty big. It started out being “video” confessionals but a number of worship leaders, for whatever reason .. only post “text” versions.

These “confessionals” are recaps – reviews of our worship services … what went wrong, what went good – which songs we sang and why, arrangements we used, celebrations, frustrations, what worked, what didn’t work, etc. They are a great networking tool and a way to stir up creativity by seeing what others are doing. OK – here’s the good stuff:

There are two forums already booming at TheWorshipCommunity.Com that allow you to post your links to your Video Worship Confessionals or your Written “Text Confessional” Set Lists, etc. Up to now, worship leaders are blogging this, and then manually going to TheWorshipCommunity.Com and posting it again, or posting a link to their blog.

Hold on to your seat … I have enabled the RSS import feature on TheWorshipCommunity.Com forums … meaning if you are blogging your set lists .. either as a “text” confessional or a “video” confessional … you can have it SYNDICATED on TheWorshipCommunity.Com.

Before you say “oh, why would I want to do that … I don’t want to lose traffic to my site” … (ok, maybe I’m the only selfish one out there who thought that) … you should know that it will check your RSS feed every couple of hours and import your most recent 3 entries as NEW THREADS, and only the first few lines of your content are there, with a (more …) link that takes the visitor to YOUR SITE to read the rest!

So, here’s the deal. If you’d like to have your worship blog content syndicated on TheWorshipCommunity.Com (700+ members and growing daily, and we’re the featured banner ad on WorshipLeader.Com’s e-newsletter TODAY, Tuesday, 9/11 to over 11,000 worship leaders!) … just follow these instructions:

1. if you have NOT joined TheWorshipCommunity.Com, do so now … you’ll enjoy the content, the networking, and the community. Plus, your blog content has to be imported to your userID at TWC.

2. on your blog, be sure that you have SEPARATE CATEGORIES (not tags, categories) for Video Confessionals and Text Confessionals. (you can call those categories whatever you want, but just always remember to check off the right category on your blog entries when you post)

3. Send an email or Private Message (PM) on TheWorshipCommunity.Com to me (twc_admin) with your:
- blog URL
- the category name(s)
- your UserName at TWC (if you send a PM, I’ll already see that, but if you email, let me know your UserName)

4. I will check your blog to see if it will support a unique RSS syndication feed for categories. Most will (typepad, wordpress, blogger, etc). A few people using WordPress with Feedburner Redirect and permanlinks turned OFF won’t be able to do this, sorry guys – enable your permalinks … if you don’t understand it, ask!)

5. If you have a category RSS feed for “Video Worship Confessionals” (again, you can call it whatever you want) … it will be added and will import into the “Worship Confessional Videos” (view) forum. If you have a category RSS feed for “Text Confessionals” .. it will be added and will import into the “Music Set Lists and Production Sheets” (view) forum.

This is a great opportunity to network, share, and communicate and I hope you’ll take advantage of it.

Finally, there are less than 100 people who read this blog on a regular basis … but if you would consider blogging about this on YOUR blog, it could be thousands of people who see this opportunity … so please post a blog about it … I’ll be sure and link you back!
