It has being a moment of refreshing for me in the presence of the Lord when I played your interludes for a meditation. Its awesome to my Spirit life and made the presence of the Master dwelt richly and fill His presence where I was..

God bless you tremendously and your lovle family.

Cheers

Fred - I agree with everything you've posted about blogging, and those are my primary reasons as well.

The only addition I would make is that from a business perspective it's a great tool for the following:

1. Gives your on-line business a little more credibility. People/potential clients can get to know you on a more intimate level.
2. A blog is a constantly updated website; if you have it linked to your primary site, you can increase your main site's search engine ranking - this is a BIG bonus! I know it has benefited me tremendously.

Love your blog - Larry

Man, that's a great question. I've thought about it before, though I still feel like my answer wouldn't fully encapsulate my reasoning. Let's see...I blog to learn and to teach (more share than teach, really...just to "journey together" with other worship leaders, and to teach those who are new to worship, or even Christianity generally). I blog to network. I blog as a form of journaling and personal accountability (I'm fairly new to blogging, but I hope to look back a few years from now and see where I've come from). I also blog because, frankly, it can be pretty fun.

I'm sure there's more, but thanks for posing the question. It's always good to ask ourselves why we do what we do.

I don't blog because I'm basically computer illiterate and don't know how to get started. One day I will, for I believe I have a degree of spiritual insight and maturity that I can share with others.

Gosh...it's your fault I blog! You are the one who got me started. :-)

It has proven a great way to stay in touch with family and friends out of town. They can get a glimpse of our day to day life and struggles.

Much of my blogging is just trivial stuff, but I also like the making the occasional entry that actually says something of value, that I hope will be an encouragement to someone else.

Sounds corny, but all of the above!

I'm new to blogging and started it to try and capture my thoughts specifically around the subject of worship. In fact, my very first post was entitled "Why Blog?"

Keeps me accountable in my goals and my actions... in all areas of my life. I've journaled since I was 6. I've been an active journalist since I was 14. Blogging is an extension of myself that I'm willing to share with the world on a more personal, introspective level.

Two reasons -

1. Self-discipline - it’s a way to organize my thoughts and reactions in a ministry role that doesn’t always encourage reflection.

2. Connections - I like making friends with people and blogging is helping achieve that.

i started blogging this summer bc i needed a hobby that gave my voice a break from singing...... and i wanted a way to connect with people in the process. and be creative.
hence, blogging. i didn't even really know much about the "blogosphere" when i got started, so i was immediately overwhelmed and sucked in.
but now, i do it as 1) a ministry (blendingworship) and 2) a fun way to process life/thoughts/laughs (justagirl).........
