Oh My – O Holy Night Revealed

OK everyone -
This is TOO BIG not to blog. For those who have been around here for a while, you’ll remember that I posted a “special” rendition of “O Holy Night” on my blog a few years ago. Needless to say, it attracted a LOT of attention over the last couple of years. The true performance of the song has been a super-mystery … not just to me, but to millions of curious listeners all over the world.
Last year during the Christmas season, one specific radio station out in California actually discovered it on my blog and because it was “on my blog” they declared that I was the actual artist – and my name was used as the performer for the entire month of December during the famous “Worse Christmas Song Ever” contest. It was intimidating – a fire I couldn’t put out … but an entertaining ride, nonetheless.
Well folks … we’re entering that season again … but as of a few hours ago … it’s no longer a mystery.
That’s right … the mystery seems to be solved. Let’s just say I’ll be talking with the REAL PERFORMER tomorrow. No kidding. He contacted me tonight.
I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight – this is going to be a WILD RIDE.

That’s ok… don’t be sad… You will always be linked with the worst Christmas song in “my” heart.
Since I kept up with the whole scenario the first time I absolutely cannot WAIT to find out the true artist!!! I have quesitons, questions, questions. Why did he just now contact you after all this time? Is he the real thing? How do you know? Hurry and tell all!

I have a funyy story about this as well…when I was at Liberty University, I helped organize and pull off our annual Christmas chapel service (which was the last service of the fall semester). This service was always given over completely to the students and was usually a fun time for the students to blow off some steam and celebrate the end of the semester and upcoming break. The CCM artist Chalres Billingsly was the “artist in residence” at the time. Anyway, beyond a bunch of other funny stuff, we had a very well-known student vocalist dress up and look just like Charles, and come out on stage and lip-sync to this song. I was most excellent…the best part was, Charles had no idea this was going to happen, and just the week before he had actually sung a very nice version of this song, telling everyone that it was his favorite Christmas song… HAHA!
Rob – believe me, I’ll work it for every bit I can! Can’t divulge much now, there is an exclusive interview coming up from another site (not mine, unfortunately).
Nathan – that is totally HILARIOUS!
