Weekend Recap
Posted on November 5th, 2007 in Family, Music, Old-General by Fred McKinnonHey Everyone -
Well, I was pretty quiet in blogworld this weekend because I wasn’t online. We went to McRae, GA – my hometown. I didn’t even open the laptop! (yeah).
I was able to go hunting … I didn’t see anything, but had some incredible “quiet time” and “solitude”. Peace, quiet, and solitude is hard to come by these days at our home with 4 kids, ages 7 and under. We had a great time, though. I was able to take Jon Michael (7) and Will (5) to shoot on Saturday and both of them shot my Dad’s Ruger .22 cal. They’ve never shot anything other than a BB gun and after getting them acclimated to looking through the scope, they both got 2 out of 3 shots in the bullseye at 25 yards!
“Away In A Manger” has been climbing the charts over at IndieHeaven.Com’s “FanFaves”. It’s at #32 today (Monday) so it would sure help if you click over to the FanFaves chart and vote again today! Thanks to all you folks who have voted each day. Special thanks to Joel who even blogged about it over at CECWorship.
Church was awesome today. This series, “Happily Ever After” is really going great. I hope to do a Worship Confessional, but won’t promise it. I didn’t do one last week and it doesn’t seem that the world fell apart, haha.
Well, it’s late … very late, and even with that extra hour of sleep and a long Sunday afternoon nap, I’m beat. So, off to bed to kickoff a big week.
Oh yeah – for those eager to get into the “O Holy Night” saga – just keep holding on .. it’s coming!
For the Kingdom,
Fred
