The Christmas in Action $5K Giveaway

Posted on December 12th, 2007 in Church Life by Fred McKinnon

Hey Ya’ll,

This past Sunday, Pastor David announced something called “Christmas in Action” … in all 3 services, he stood there with 50, $100 bills … that’s $5,000 and announced that we’d like to give back. Unlike Steven Furtick’s church (I think they gave nearly every person there a $1oo bill .. like, they gave away $40,000!?), we only had $5K to give away.

So, here’s the deal – you had to signup, and then we were going to prayerfully consider the 50 people who’d receive the $100 bill. Those people would then be responsible to prayerfully consider what God would have then do with the $100 to be “Christmas in Action”.

Pastor David Yarborough took some time out of his hectic schedule to blog about it today – so check it out and hear the rest of the story.

For the Kingdom,
Fred
