Introducing J-Blank, All-Star Youth Pastor Vocalist

How ’bout a Funny Friday post …

Jon Blankenship (J-Blank), our reknown Youth Pastor at SSCC is quite the character. Great with the kids, great with the Word, an inspiring leader, dad, and husband to Heather …

Well, he’s also a great impersonator, comic, and … singer.

Here’s a spoof on “I Will Survive” … but this time, Jon Blankenship is the star vocalist in this script as one of the “sheep” that the shepherds were watching when the angels appeared.

Some of our “characters” in Sunday AM “KidJam” will be dressed as sheep and will perform this Sunday. My 7-yr old, Jon Michael, is already excited.

    Dude, that is great. I don’t suppose you would email me a copy of that recording. It’s too late for me to use it this year, but I would love to us it next year. That is great stuff. It is a shame that it is not being done in “big church.” I think the adults that know the original song would love that.

    and to find this takeoff to ‘I will survive’…
    truly awesome talent there! Would love to see him in costume singing..lol!!
