January 23 – Happy Birthday to my Incredible wife, Joy!

So, I’m one of those guys who definitely married ‘up’. She is definitely my “better half”. I’m beyond blessed to have her. This world is blessed to have her, a survivor of killer leukemia that tried to claim her more than a decade ago … but she’s still here, praising God, and celebrating a birthday.

Joy is an incredible woman of God. She is an amazing mother of our 4 kids. She has more energy and patience than I can squeeze out of my entire being. She keeps me on my toes – respectful, yet she keeps me straight. She doesn’t hold back in challenging me – challenging me to seek God, supporting me, challenging me to exercise (that one still isn’t working so well, obviously), challenging me to be a good father, loving me, supporting me, encouraging me, and just being a wonderful woman.

I bless my wife today on her birthday, and pray for many, many more to come, that we’d have the privilege of seeing all of our children married, and enjoy quality time with our children’s children one day, unless Christ comes back before that happens!
