LimeWire Made me Laugh!
Posted on February 11th, 2008 in Technology by Fred McKinnonHey Ya’ll,
OK, so I don’t usually keep P2P (peer-to-peer) programs on my computer. For the most part, they are nothing more than a way to trade files .. many filled with hacks and viruses, trojan horses, and junk. Most of all – there is gross copyright violations going on.
So, this morning I downloaded LimeWire because I need to find some Don Potter music that I already do own, and just can’t find it … so I get to the download page and see this self-policed option that just made me laugh.

Hahahahah – I clicked “I might use LimeWire for copyright infringement” and it loaded a new page saying “sorry, we can’t let you download this”. Oh man, too bad. So, I clicked the “back arrow” and clicked “I will not use LimeWire for copyright infringement” and downloaded it.
Now, I just hope I can find a few Don Potter songs … no copyright violation for me here – I own them, paid for them … just can’t find them, so I’m not feeling so guilty getting them from somewhere else, and knowing Don … he wouldn’t mind!
That’s what I call some serious accountability there, wouldn’t you say!
