SSCC - Night of Worship and Dedication
Hey Everyone -
Well, it’s last minute - but I just found a breather to say “Come Join Us” for our first official service in the brand new facility of St. Simons Community Church at 2700 Frederica Road. We’re having a Night of Worship and dedication beginning around 6:50 PM.
This is going to be an awesome opening weekend - we’re unveiling a new, state-of-the-art 74,000 ft2 facility, new logos, new artwork and design, new environments, new ministries … everything going to a whole new level!
Tonight’s setlist will include multiple worship leaders, musicians, and special moments with the Pastor, Elders, and other officials.
Walk-In Set:
“I Shall Wear A Crown” - a rockin’ gospel number led by Harriet Jones … I get the privilege of wailing on the grand piano on this tune.
“For All You’ve Done” - led by myself, one of our congregation’s favorites.
Welcome - Prayer, some official stuff, etc.
Opening Set:
“Doxology” - acapella chorus of The Doxology, led by Shannon, which will seque into …
“Again, I Say Rejoice” - led by myself and band, an unbelievably fun song to learn and play, by Israel Houghton
“How Marvelous” (I Stand Amazed), led by Harriet
Reading of Revelation 22:12-end: we’ve been having the Bible read out loud from 9-5 for the last two weeks. Tonight we’ll conclude the last few verses corporately .. should be an awesome moment.

Prayer Time, Bible “Capsule”
(a time of prayer and reflecting on the “time capsule” buried underneath the foundation, including a Bible, lots of names of people who need to come to salvation, etc. We’ve GPS’d it and have a lighting cue to shine on it when we talk about it. Incidentally, one of the ladies whose name is in that capsule came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior … TODAY around NOON!

I’m exhausted, but excited at the same time. Also, I’m taking a leap of faith and ditching the music stand - so will lead tonight with no chords, no music, and no words!
