Definitely a challenging word! Consider Galatians 5:16 as Paul says, "I say then; walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Can it really be that simple?

To everything there is a season-- A time to keep and a time to let go. --Ecclesiastes 3:1,6

I think that is the major problem with people.....we try to keep it all and never let some things go no matter what the burden.....There are some things this week I just had to let go....even though I did not want to it was time well, actually it was past time.

Jennifer,
Those are great passages ... I love them. So many times I read those, and I think to myself "I want to be able to honestly say that, and mean it!" ... change my heart, O God.

I've spent a ton of time in the Psalms and finished them up today. The ones that stuck out the most today were...

Ps. 142:5-6 "Lord, I cry out to you. I say, "You are my protection. You are all I want in this life." Listen to my cry, because I am helpless."

Ps. 143:6 and Ps. 145:18 (both on prayer) " I lift my hands to You in prayer. As a dry land needs rain, I thirst for You." and...."The Lord is close to everyone who prays to Him, to all who truly pray to Him."

God really ministered to my heart through all three passages. I want to thirst for Him as a deer pants and as dry and thirsty ground long for the rain. So beautiful to me.
