sad, sad – my mother kept one the UGA greats I don t know how many years ago., My Uncle, Vassa(My middle name) Cate was the capt. of the dawgs in 1939(Ibelieve that was the year)great,great man no longer with us. Sad. RV

One of my favorite memories of Uga VI, and one shown several times in TV sport news clips, is of the Auburn receiver leaping for an out-of-bounds pass with Uga lunging at him and trying to bite him. Had the leash been a little longer, he would have scored!

Had heard of this sad news. I was concerned as to a replacement but read an article that said “Uga’s lineage is secure” and that they had several to choose from. Uga VII will have some big paws to fill but I am believing and hoping . . . . .
