Posted on August 5th, 2008 in Church Life, Faith, Worship Leadership by Fred McKinnon(from Fred: still on vacation, and honored to have Pete Wilson, Pastor of Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN bring today’s guest blog. Pete and his team are doing an incredible work up in one of my favorite cities in the world. I’ve enjoyed following Pete via his blog (www.withoutwax.tv) and twitters. Comment and let him know how much you appreciate it, and of course, visit his church site and blog)
(Note: today’s guest post on worship and culture is a part of the Watercooler Wednesday blog carnival hosted by Randy Elrod)
Thanks Fred for this opportunity to do a guest spot on your blog. I really appreciate and enjoy the heart behind what you’re doing here.
This summer at my church, Cross Point, we’ve been in a series entitled SYNC. We’ve spent the summer asking what are the methods, or disciplines, or rhythms that we need to arrange our life around if we want Jesus to be formed in our life.
Just a few weeks ago we talked about the method or discipline of worship. The message was pre-taped and shown via video, so I thought I would share a part of it with you:

Here’s a few questions to think about. I would love for you to jump in and leave a comment after reading through them.
-Do you have a problem with a focus on “self”?
-Is there a particular environment where you feel you worship best?
-Is your heart expanding in love toward God and others?
