The car, the shower...

God has really been moving me to a place recently where I am spending most of my time in intercessory prayer during worship on Sunday.
I feel such a burden to pray for our body. I feel like there is such a struggle with worship being all about “our experience” vs. all about God. We have to be able to move past this-or we will begin to stagnate.
Pete, thank you for sharing today.

Thanks everyone!

@Jett t. The car is probably my favorite place to worship. I get some weird looks from time to time but I love it!

Hey Pete - really good stuff, man. My favorite worship environment would have to be my car!

Pete,
Cool to see you on Fred's blog. I really enjoyed the videography - you have a good team.

-Is there a particular environment where you feel you worship best?

Yes - together with other Christians.

Particular environment...I think for me it is outside at night under the stars. This could be with a band during a church service or it could just be me all by myself no instruments or anything. Being in creation brings me right into a place of worship, nothing needs to be said or done to bring me into His presence.

Hi Pete! Glad to see you here on Fred's blog too! I have found that perhaps some things and settings speak to my personality more or just how I am wired - for example, I feel God's presence very vividly outdoors. I can be on the beach and almost can't help from singing and worshiping. I was riding down the Na Pali Coast on Kauai and found myself spontaneously - and almost could not restrain myself - singing "How Great Thou Art". In a church setting I am most comfortable in more relaxed settings using contemporary songs, which I just find more personal. BUT, I've recently been in a retreat community where the worship has been more liturgical in nature and I've found that to be very peaceful. I guess the only place I feel uncomfortable is where I don't feel freedom to be myself. I'm not sure if that's bad or not. I'm not very self concious though so this doesn't happen often.
