I have been going over this whole entire situation in my head over and over again…and I have come to one conclusion…. we as christians are to hate sin, but not the sinner. Therefore the Bible says to confess your sin so that you may be healed….and to bear one another’s burdens to so fulfill the law of Christ. Now if we believe the Bible in it’s entirety…not just the points that fit our lives at the moment…then we all must agree on this….the Bible is the true, inspired, INFALLIBLE word of God….then we all know that Jesus paid for our healing..and that He is the Healer of not just our physical bodies, but our minds, and emotions….and we all know that is says with God NOTHING is impossible….so even though the song was written under the extreme circumstances of hiding sin…we cannot just throw the song away….because the Bible backs up what the song is saying. So we MUST as brothers and sisters in the Lord pray for Mike, his wife and kids, their church, His parents, Hillsong, Planetshakers and all those that it has affected….I mean the Bible says that in the last days that the enemy will go around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour…and he will try to deceive the very elect…if possible. I have to believe that God moved on Mike’s heart to make him come forward and confess what had been going on in his life….no one can come to the Father except he be drawn by the spirit….It had to be difficult to bring all of this into the light….knowing that it would bring a severe blow to the body of Christ….so I just want to say thank you to Mike for coming forward and confessing what he was doing….that took GUTS! My prayer is for FULL restoration not only to his family, to those churches and ministries involved…but t Mike as well. This song has blessed my heart as I go through the day to day events of my own physical sickness, when we sang it in church this past Sunday morning…my heart was overwhelmed with the words NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU..You hold my world in your hands! I know that even though people are pulling this song from their worship lists, that God will be glorified through this song in many ways! BECAUSE….God can take what the devil meant for evil….and turn it into good!!!

I still believe God is my healer,
because NOTHING is impossible for HIM….

As a pastor I can testify that Satan seeks to destroy the precious life. Some can never imagine the pressures leaders are under and that pressure increases as the degree of your ministry increases. I pray for Mike and hope that he can make a full recovery.

Question: so has the church of Jesus Christ dealt with the real problem? Can a person get on stage and admit they need to be saved from pornography/sexual addiction? I think not(not as a whole anyway), people have no problem praising God because someone needs healing from cancer which does not send anyone to hell, or even sins like lying, blasphemy, stealing…but porn? forget it, why do you think he hid the real problem? I know, I was a porn addict. That being said:

I’ve seen many people on various sites in danger of judgement according to the scripture. Mike repented, asked forgiveness. Also his song is true and from his heart, he did have a disease much worse than cancer which would not have been accepted by the public. Have a little compassion on the man and listen to the Word of the Lord:

Matt 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

James 2:13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[i] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.

29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’

30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.

32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
