FreePlay Friday – Weekend Plans

Hey Everybody,
It’s “FreePlay Friday” – time to break off the normal topics and discussion and get personal, share our lives, talk about family, life, or whatever you want to talk about! RSS Readers – please click over to the blog and participate, too!
Today’s “FreePlay Friday” kickoff is quite simple – I’d like to know what your weekend plans are!
For me:
1 – keep taking it easy, hurt my back 2 days ago, and still hard to get around.
2 – Joy is going to the Women’s Conference at SSCC, so I’ll be hanging out w/ all the kids Friday PM and Saturday.
3 – Tonight is the Brunswick Stewbilee downtown – Joy is leaving the Women’s Conference and taking Jon Michael and Will with her at 9:00 to see none other than K.C. and the Sunshine Band perform. “Shake Your Booty”.
4 – I picked up a random gig for Saturday night – I’ll be mixing sound for a 9-piece Beach Music Band, complete w/ rhythm section, vocalists, and horns. It’s for somebody’s big birthday bash over in Sea Palms here on St. Simons Island.
5 – Here’s hoping and praying that Georgia beats Vanderbilt. It won’t be easy.

Some Good news – no soccer games this weekend, the 2nd Saturday in a row!
The bad news – it’s opening weekend for deer season, and instead of climbing a tree, I’m missing out. I love hunting, and hope to get in some time between now and Christmas!
So what’s up with YOUR WEEKEND!?

Well, we have our season end soccer tournament. Good thing is, it is in a city near us, so no major travel this time. Bad thing is, it gonna be COLD!!.
We also have some new furniture being delivered that we are very excited about.
Finally, I will be enjoying the OSU route of Michigan State on my new HD TV!!! Go Bucks!!!
Stef-
Woo hoo! Sounds like fun – I wish it were cold here more! Still praying for you – a good friend of mine just discovered he has cancer as well … I hate that disease! My God does, too!

Let’s see… tommorrow we have an all-day marriage building seminar – and I have to figure out how to get two kids to two different soccer games. Such is life!
But, you should be happy that MSN picked Uga as the best college mascot in the country!

Mike – did someone say cloning was a bad idea?
Wisdom – the best in that interview. BTW – thanks for playing Shannons song on the 10/8 podcast! You know he’s our associate worship leader, right?

I got home late last night from a class with Integrity Worship Institute in Mobile. (great resource btw) I spent all day today with my hubby hunting for a costume for a party next Saturday night and planning my karaoke act! I’m doing “Fame” and several of us are doing “Dancing Queen”. It should be comic relief if nothing else. Then we watched the Georgia game, then the Bama game and now I’m prepping to leave again tomorrow after church (and leading worship) for one of my quarterly pastor’s retreats in Chicago. Whew. It’s been whirlwind.
Flew in from Indy yesterday. Spent a week with my family.
Having venison tonight. Hubby got a deer last weekend (bow season). If you lived closer, I’d invite you over for dinner.

My wife and I went out for dinner on Saturday. We couldn’t find a baby sitter so we took our baby along. He did great and we got to spend some time together.
