Sunday Setlists ::
32 weeks of Worship Service Recaps!

Hey Gang,

Last week we came REALLY close to getting 100 outbound links to worship confessionals and setlist posts all over the globe.  Maybe we’ll make that mark today.  For full details and rules on how to participate, visit the Sunday Setlistss Page.

Also, if you’d like to receive an EMAIL REMINDER each Sunday when this is posted, please signup for the “Sunday Setlists” Email Reminder List. (if you already subscribe to the entire blog via email, that’s not necessary – also consider subscribing via RSS!)

Here’s the short version:
1 – Post a blog about your worship service – it does not matter if you led it.  We’d love recaps from the congregation.(If you don’t have a blog, just leave your recap as a comment below).
2 – In your blog, link back to today’s “Sunday Setlists” post here, so folks who read YOUR BLOG can come here and find all the other outbound links.  You’ll want to share in your recap that you’re participating in the “Sunday Setlists” blog carnival at FredMcKinnon.Com.  Today’s link back code is:

3 – After blogging and linking back here, fill out the “Mister Linky” below.  This is where you put the link to YOUR BLOG entry.  Not your blog’s homepage.
4 – Leave a comment, and visit the rest of the Sunday Setlists.
5 – Spread the Word.  If you use Twitter, please post your Setlist Link and use the #sundaysetlists hashtag.

My Setlist Review for St. Simons Community Church
Sunday, March 1 2009

Walk-In:  Happy Day
Opening Set:
Blessed Be Your Name
See His Love

Sermon:  Job (part 1 of a 6-week series on Job)

Closing Ministry/Worship:
Blessed Assurance
With All I Am
You Have Made Me Glad

As I mentioned, we started our 6-week series on the book of Job today.  You can view more on the series and hear the messages on the SSCC Site.  (I usually have those sermons posted by Tuesday AM)  Our final set today was more intimate.  We allowed people to come pray, worship, or even VENT to God … we’re focusing on Job, and not so much the question of “why does God allow suffering”, but “is He worth it, and will I still praise Him”.  We did a more acoustic set, I played piano, Kim Dixon played acoustic guitar/vocals, one tenor vocal (Brent), fretless bass (Gary) and RV on congas/djembe … so it was cool to have the laid back groove in the last set.

It was  great day – we didn’t have the huge praise and celebration we saw last week, but the book of Job doesn’t necessarily invite that, does it?  What we did have is altars full of people praying, dedicating, venting, and surrendering … that was worth it all!

That’s it for me .. now it’s time for you to share!

After posting your blog (be sure and link back to today’s post here in your blog) please fill our the Mister Linky below.  Be sure that the URL you enter goes directly to your actual blog entry for your Sunday Setlists page, and NOT your blog’s homepage.  Homepage links will be removed.
