Hey everybody,
IT’s FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
During my time of mentoring this week with Randy Elrod, this simple question kept coming up … and I realized, it’s not necessarily the easiest question to answer.
So I ask you,
“what gets you up in the morning”?
(and no, I don’t mean your alarm clock).
Passion – Drive – Purpose?

For me it is commitment. Commitment to my family, my employer, my church, and to my God. I’m not going to pretend that I bounce out of bed every morning excited to face the challenges of the new day. But I have learned that regardless of what lies ahead of me, when I start the day acknowledging that “This is the day that the Lord has made”, and deciding that “I will rejoice and be glad in it!”, I am off to a great start!
…Randy
Right now I would say coffee. But deep down the real honest answer is I want to do great things for God.

Well, I’ll give you a hint – on most days I struggle to wake up at 6:30 AM or earlier, and need unusual amounts of caffeine to get rolling at times… not so at all on Sundays!
When you get to my age, you realize that you have lived longer than you will live. Consequently, I awake with a renewed heart of thanksgiving that the Father has ordained one more day on this earth for me. That charges me up to face the day with great thanksgiving and with a fresh desire to do something great for the kingdom. I want my latter days to be more productive than the former ones.
