How will you worship?
Posted on June 10th, 2009 in Faith, Worship Leadership by Fred McKinnonHey Gang,
I’ve got a question for us to ponder and answer today.
HOW will you worship God today?
Can you think of one thing you’ve done today (it’s only 9:30 AM EST for me), or that you intend to do, that is an act of worship?
For me, I’m going to serve the homeless and hungry today at an inner city ministry called “Manna House” today. I don’t share that because I want kudos from anyone. But, as I was praying this morning I felt God say that He felt this was an act of worship to Him. That assumes I do it because I want to serve them, obey His Word … not because I want recognition, of course.
That’s just one example. How about you?

loading trailers and uhauls full of gear for our youth summer retreat. then driving 3 hours to the OKC and setting up until 2 or 3am.
but more specifically, i’m leading a group of 20 guys up there and going to set a focus of worship for the coming days and nights.
besides hanging out with Him and listening…I will be hanging out with the skeptics and chatting about their lives. One of my favorite things to do…
Today I am going to worship God by loving someone at work who is difficult for me to love.

I just blogged about this last night!! great question!!
I will be answering emails (in a ‘tone’ that Jesus would).
This is a great challenge, and something we should think about daily! Today I am trying worship God by the kindness that I am showing people, it’s something that He reminded me of this morning. You can check out my post about it here: http://brandonbuchanan.com/blog/2009/06/good-morning/
By working unto God at my place of employment. In everything I do today from the smallest task to the biggest, not to gripe or complain, but just do it unto God knowing that He is in control
First – I spent time with Him today expressing my love and adoration and then listening to Him.
Second – I took two of my band members to lunch and told them how much I appreciate them serving the Lord and giving of their huge talent to help others experience Him in worship. I exercised my gift of encouragement.
Third – I told a young lady about Jesus today and encouraged her to carefully consider His love as we prayed together.
As I end the day, I will rehearse with one of my bands, go home and love my wife and remind her again what a blessing she is to me and our ministry together.
