I’m out at the National Worship Leader Conference in KS this week doing some blogging, twittering, and teaching.

This will be an extra special week for me because I’m enjoying with one of the most passionate worshipers on the planet.  Not only is she a passionate worshiper, she’s … well … HOT!  That would be my wife, Joy.

Yesterday we arrived and joined some blog/worship buddies for some Kansas City BBQ.  Joy held her own at a table of all these worship guys, including myself, Rich Kirkpatrick, Jason Petermann, Wisdom Moon, Ben Saada, and Gary Durbin.

Last night was an incredible time of worship with Anthony Evans, Tommy Walker, and the David Crowder Band.  Greg Laurie was the speaker.  He talked about “why” we worship.  He visited the stories of people like Paul & Silas who worshiped in the most extreme of circumstances.  Greg lost his son in a tragic automobile accident last night – there is something about the authenticity in this message coming from someone who has lived through such agony and tragedy.

Today we opened with Jeremy Riddle – and yes, he sang “Sweetly Broken”, one of my favorite songs of the last few years.  Dr. Leonard Sweet is teaching in the main session this morning.

I’ll be assisting Dr. Sweet in both of his classes today as his “VJ” – Video Jockey.  I’ll then be on a panel in the New Media, Worship & the Mobile Church.
