“Faith+Hope+Love” was recorded LIVE at Hillsong Church in Australia with key Hillsong team members including Darlene Zschech, Joel Houston, Brooke Ligertwood, and Dove Award winning writer/artist Reuben Morgan. The projected features new music including the Top 10 iTunes single “You Hold Me Now”.
I’ve been listening to this album for a couple of weeks now. I have to admit, the last few times I’ve heard Hillsong or Hillsong United, my first impressions would always be “there it is, that same sound again”. I’d grown a bit weary of the feel and sound of Hillsong. This album opens up with a driving song that immediately made me think this again – there’s that signature sound. As I moved through the tracks; however, I began to find song after song that led me into an incredible time of worship.
My personal favorite is “I Will Exalt”. This song captured me as I was working out in the gym. I suppose I looked pretty ridiculous when I was laying on the chest press machine, stopped, closed my eyes, laid back, and raised my hands in worship. I’m sure the other folks in the room were wondering what in the world was happening. I was in another world – in awe of God’s glory and declaring my desire to exalt Him.
The next song is “Yahweh”, another powerful ballad that grows into a big refrain, “He shall reign forever”. Enjoy this exclusive video:
If you think that you’ve had enough of Hillsong’s LIVE recordings, let me just tell you that you won’t want to skip this 19th one … it’s powerful and full of songs for personal and corporate worship.
