For 2010, I will …
Posted on January 1st, 2010 in Life and Family by Fred McKinnon
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!
It’s hard to believe we’re already in 2010. Time flies, doesn’t it?
I realize that most “resolutions” are forgotten every year, but I wanted to write down a few things and give you a chance to do the same.
For 2010, I will …
* be intentional about making God’s Word a bigger priority in my life. If we only have time to post our morning tweet and blog or read God’s Word, we should read God’s Word. Can I get an AMEN?
* be intentional about spending more quality time with my kids, and making memories with my wife and family.
* continue on my quest for better health. From May 2009 I lost a couple of inches, about 25 pounds, and added some muscle. I slacked off big-time in December and gained 8 pounds. My goal for 2010 is to get below 200 pounds. I was at 238 in May of 2009, and I’m around 220 today. My friend Russ Hutto and his brother just launched a cool new site to help people with their fitness goals – checkout WorkOutBrothers.Com.
* lead people into deeper, authentic encounters with God through expressive worship and ministry. I’m ready to take off the gloves and operate in some of the spontaneous and prophetic gifting that I know God has given me. Not all of the venues where I lead worship are appropriate for this, but I have plans to create spaces for this.
* delegate more and more responsibility of my e-biz to other people, giving them ownership and vision to grow the business.
* Write and record songs again!
I’ve got some great vision for 2010 that could influence the Kingdom, bless songwriters, and empower the Church. I can’t do it on my own, and thank God for a team of people He’s assembling to see this come to pass.
OK, it’s your turn. Please share a view of your dreams, resolutions, and goals for 2010. Just scroll down and leave a comment. C’mon now, kick off the New Year right, and let your voice be heard!
