TGIF: What’s Your Plans?

It’s FRIDAY!

For us, it’s not just Friday, but it’s the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL for the kids.

We kicked off the morning with our traditional family breakfast at Sweet Mamas on St. Simons Island.  Hard to beat a morning starting off with coffee, chocolate cheese danish, and pork pops.

Fridays are our “day off” from the church, so I’ll spend my morning doing some business bookkeeping and I’ll make a sincere effort in cleaning my office.

After lunch, we’ll get the kids out of school and after a few hours, head off to the baseball fields for a ballgame tonight.

Joy and I hope to get a babysitter and catch a movie this weekend.  I want to see Thor and Pirates for sure.

    Serious gardening! Tilling in mulch and compost to my 30′x20′ veg. bed, four 4×4 raised beds, berry bushes, six dwarf fruit trees, and if i complete all that, staining 4 adirondak chairs, and playing with my new puppy. I have 3 Shih Tzus and 1 new puppy Wirehaired Dachshund. “Hazel” so cute!

      wow, that is serious. I need to do some serious lawn maintenance here. Haven’t spread mulch in our beds in a couple of years, so now, our beds look horrible – overgrown, no mulch, the grass has just grown over into the flower beds … no edges … it’s a bad sight. I need to tackle it with all that free time I have.

    I’m taking today as easy as I can, because the weekend is a big one!  Playing bass in Terre Haute, IN tomorrow night, then back to Columbus to lead worship on Sunday morning, then out to eastern OH for a gig on keys in the afternoon!

      That’s cool, I don’t think I realized you played “out” – do you have a band or something? Do tell!

        I’ve played with several different bands over the years, but as of a couple of weeks ago, I’m playing bass for the Van-Dells (www.van-dells.com).  I’ve filled in with them a few times over the years leading up to this, really fun show!  Sunday afternoon I’m sitting in with a cover band I used to be in for a memorial day gig, so that will be a fun one.
