Vicky Beeching EP – Salvation Day
Written by Fred McKinnon on February 10, 2010 – 8:33 AM -
I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Vicky Beeching lead worship on multiple occasions. She’s got an incredible voice, an amazing gift of songwriting, and she’s just a cool person to be around. So when Integrity Music asked me to team up with a couple of my blogger friends to showcase her upcoming 3-song EP I said “of course!”.
I am featuring a song called “Salvation Day”. Right off the bat, it opens with a great sound. A friend of mine who was with me at the time of my first listen started nodding his head saying, “I’m not normally a fan of female worship leaders, but I love it when they rock out and have that edge”.
The chord chart is here.
At the request of mangement, we’ve been asked to only stream a 30-second sample. Hopefully you’ll go buy the EP and hear the full album! (RSS subscribers, this is where you click over to hear the tune!)
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
VERSE 1:
God so loved, loved this world that He gave His Son
Whoever would put their trust, put their trust in Him
Would live forever, would live forever
CHORUS 1:
Oh I was dead but now I live
Oh, all my sin has been forgiven
Oh, now with all my heart and soul I sing
Thank You for my Salvation Day
VERSE 2:
I so love, love your world that I’ll give my life
So they would, yes, they would see Your sacrifice
And livefor – e – ver, and livefor – e – ver
BRIDGE:
Here we are rescued and ransomed
Sing it out, this is our anthem
Shout it out, we’ll live forever

Lyrics:
Your wounded hands have broken my chains
Your holiness has carried the weight
And I am the sum of failing and of grace
You overcame
Jesus saves my Jesus saves
Jesus saves my Jesus saves
Your innocence has covered my shame
Your love has spoken me by name
And I have victory over the grave over the grave
You overcame
Jesus saves my Jesus saves
Jesus saves my Jesus saves
I was dying You came for me
Now I’m living for my savior
Hope is rising up within me
You’re my Savior and Lord

Way Radio Beach Concert – Today
Written by Fred McKinnon on October 24, 2009 – 6:54 AM -
Hey Gang,
I’m up early and headed out to Jekyll Island, GA for the annual “Way Radio 90.7 FM Beach Concert” on Jekyll Island. This year I was asked to put together a “house band” for two of the Centricity Music artists, Daniel Kirkley and Jaime Jamgochian.
So I’ve put this band together and we’re going to try and rehearse with these artists this morning on Jekyll for the first time and miraculously pull off the task of learning about 12 of their songs in a couple of hours. (yes, you read that right – we haven’t had an opportunity to rehearse with the artists until this morning).
So if you’re in the area – jump in the car and drive over to Jekyll Island. The concert starts at 2:30 … I’ll be leading the band for Daniel and Jaime, and then “Downhere” will be headlining and closing out the concert with their full band afterwards. Bring a beach chair and have some fun.
Jaime Jamgochian will also be staying over and leading worship for us at SSCC tomorrow morning at both the 9:00 and 11:00 services!
See you there!
Fred
