Worship Interludes: A Praying Nation [Episode 27, May 4, 2017]

Today, May 4, 2017, is the “National Day of Prayer” in the United States of America.   This podcast reaches virtually every country in the world so I realize that this is not a special day in other places.  However, I wanted to spend some time in the studio today creating an episode to mark this significant day and have my own time of prayer and reflection.

Many times, I will pray or think about what is stirring in my heart, and then just play.   Today’s episode was a little different because I prayed aloud in the studio as I played.   Those pauses are reflections and the playing was responsiveness to how I was praying.

May God bless America and every other nation whom chooses to pray.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Worship Interludes: Persistence [Episode 26, May 1, 2017]

Persistence:   firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition

No doubt, we have days when we want to give up.   What may have seemed exciting is now a chore and life mandates that we carry on.   Perhaps it’s an issue with your health.  Perhaps it’s a constant nagging of guilt or sorrow that won’t go away.

We are often left with a choice.  Give up, or fight.  Persist.  Fix our gaze straight ahead and pray through it, play through it, dance through it, or work through it.

As I sat down to record today’s interlude I was aware that there are  some things I have to persist on.   I can’t let up – I can’t let go – I can’t give up.   Persist.

Worship Interludes: Guest Artist, David Nevue [Episode 19, April 5, 2017]

For many, many years, David Nevue has been one of my favorite pianists that I’ve ever heard.   His music has been an inspiration to me for years and it’s an incredible blessing and honor to have David sit in and provide an instrumental interlude for me while I’m on vacation.

As soon as you begin to listen you will immediately sense peace and rest.   This interlude consists of two separate compositions, “Awake in the Light” and “The Mystery and the Glory”.  These two compositions have been merged together from his “Revelation – Solo Piano for Prayer & Worship” album.

Please express your gratitude to David and visit his sites for his music below:
