Hey everybody – it’s the 26th installment of “Sunday Setlists”. This blog carnival has quickly become a favorite for worship leaders all over the world, as we share our weekly recaps of what our worship services looked like. Before we get into Sunday Setlists, I want to invite everyone to checkout the new “Facebook Connect” feature that I added to TheWorshipCommunity.Com this weekend. Basically, if you have a FaceBook account you can now login to the site with your FB login, and the application will post your new discussion threads and replies on your wall in FaceBook. Existing users can login with FaceBook Connect and enter their exising UserID. New users can create a userID at signin. If you’ve never gotten involved in the discussions at TheWorshipCommunity.Com, check it out today!
To participate, please follow these rules, which make all the outbound and inbound linking work, and make it easy for people on your site and my site to find the appropriate posts:
- Blog about your worship services this weekend. If you don’t have a blog, you can just leave your recap in the comments section of my blog here.
- Somewhere in the text of your blog entry, you should link back to this post. Most people say something like “I’m sharing our worship recap as part of the “Sunday Setlists” blog carnival hosted at FredMcKinnon.Com“. The address on my blog that you should link to in your blog is:
https://www.fredmckinnon.com/2009/01/18/sunday-setlists-26/ - Come back here and fill out the “Mister Linky” box at the bottom of this post. For “URL”, you should enter your blog post’s URL – not your blog’s homepage – but the actual URL (address) of the single blog post entry. If you aren’t sure how to do that, be sure and give your blog post a title, and after publishing, click on your blog’s title, and copy THAT URL to be used. Homepage links will be deleted.
- Leave a comment and visit the other Sunday Setlist blogs.
*** Worship Recap for St. Simons Community Church, Sunday January 18, 2009 ***
We had a couple of great services this morning at SSCC. Though there were a lot more people in the 11:00 service (it was pretty packed), the 9:00 service seemed to really have more energy and participation. It’s strange how each week the “energy” in either service is different, either way.
Our “Walk-In” song was “Hosanna” (Paul Baloche arrangement) – I used the loop that I created a while back.
Our opening set included:
“No Other Name” (G) (Todd Fields, NorthPoint live arrangement)
“Blessed Be Your Name” (G) Matt and Beth Redman
Our second set included:
“The Solid Rock” (E) Hymn, my arrangement
“Here I Am To Worship” (E) – I had Heather Blankenship lead this, and she did an amazing job vocally
The sermon is part of our “Change is Coming” series. David spoke on trials, and how we should see them as opportunities, not oppositions.
Closer:
“My Heart Will Trust” (G) – Hillsong
Your turn!

Better late than never, eh?
I hope everyone else's services were as good as ours! God is Awesome.
I love "No Other Name" We have done allot of Todd's songs over the year. You rock Fred 🙂
What happened to my name being in the list of blogs?
Whew… glad this came up before night service. Great day today… but then every day is in the kingdom!
Too much multi-tasking on my part! Did you ever wish that there was such a thing as an "un-enter" key?
Good to be back in the carnival this week. 🙂 Thanks for being faithful with this, Fred!
#5 is old blog # 8 is new one….sorry
Brad, hmm .. somehow it's at #5 now?
#5 can be deleted…wordpress jumbled up my hyperlink. sorry about that.
Brad – I removed the old one, so we're good.
Good setlist!
We had a good day today. I actually beatboxed. Yep.
I'll be back, have to head right out to core community…
I have an arrangement of "The Solid Rock" in D. Solid list…good stuff.
Posted—final day in combined services.
I won't lead for the next 2 weeks–but will post what happened in worship.
Done! I had something really ironic or funny to say, but in the time it took me to write my post, I forgot it. :-/ Bummer…
Thanks again Fred for doing this. I can't tell you how much of a blessing it is to me!
I would like to echoe Stephanie's sentiments, Fred. Such a blessing! Thank you!
Do you have an mp3 of your arrangement of Solid Rock?
Fred, thanks. I noticed that my name appeared/disappeared. Thanks for your patience with slow people like me. I'll fix that in the future.
Thanks Fred for allowing us to share another week with each other!!!
I hope you have a great week!
For some reason, I suddenly cannot see any of the links to everyone's setlists on any of the Sunday Setlist posts. I will correct that in the future.
Better late than never!
Hey, they are there …
We had one of those days that I felt really good about afterwards. Couldn't have been better. Thanks Fred.
Good way to close a service in a series called "Change is Coming" with "My Heart will Trust"!!
Howdy from Texas. Don't forget to unmute your guitars!
Okay, I think I submitted the link in the correct format this time. Thanks for your patience, Fred.
Man, I'm late this week…is it Tuesday night already??????
