Sunday Setlists #37 – Palm Sunday Experience

sunday_setlist_2

Hello Everyone!  It’s Palm Sunday!

“Sunday Setlists” is a blog carnival started here at FredMcKinnon.Com, now in it’s 37th consecutive week.  It’s a way for others to share and network on what happened in their worship services.  You do NOT have to be a worship leader or pastor to participate – anyone is welcome to blog or comment a recap of their worship service.

To participate, please follow these simple rules:

  1. Blog about your worship service.  (It doesn’t have to happen on Sunday, btw).  If you don’t blog, just share your recap in the comments box below.
  2. In your blog, be sure and link back here so the people who read your blog can come and discover all of the other setlists.  You will want to mention that you are participating in the “Sunday Setlists” carnival at FredMcKinnon.com and link to this URL:
    https://www.fredmckinnon.com/2009/04/05/sunday-setlists-37/
  3. Leave  the URL to your blog post in the Mister Linky box below.
  4. Comment, then visit the other sites and see what others are doing.
  5. If you Twitter, please promote your setlist post and this blog carnival using the #sundaysetlists hashtag.

Sunday Setlists for
St. Simons Community Church, April 5 2009

Guess what?  I’m not @sscc today.  I’m not leading today.  I’ll be attending Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA.  Shannon Lewis is leading worship back home today, so I’ll let him post our “Sunday Setlists” post.

So it’s your turn – be sure to put the URL to your actual blog POST, and not your blog’s homepage.  If you just post the blog’s homepage URL, your link will be deleted, because that doesn’t link to your Sunday Setlists post.  So pretty please … the full URL to your post.

Fred – this morning was such a blessing and encouragement to us (Cyle & I) and I appreciate the opportunity. I’ll be participating in the Sunday set-list, but not till tomorrow. We’re hosting HomeGroup at our house tonight and have a lot of prep to do. Blessings, and I hope you’re enjoying your vacation!

It was great to have our youth team leading this week!

Have a great week everyone … praying that services that will happen around the world this week will reach out to many as we declare, “HE IS LORD!”

I’m up now. I really messed up the beginning of one song in the first service and so I’d love it if you’d check out my post today AND tomorrow night too. I want to discuss our desire for “perfection” as worship leaders and I’d like to hear from you all!

  14. beth says:

  22. beth says:

I posted twice this week; we did our regular Sunday service, plus a last-minute Unity Service for the community in response to violence and court issues and some activity by the Klan in the area. Ugh.

I’m still dazed and buzzing from what I experienced last night. I hope you’ll check out the post and be inspired by what God can and will do in the middle of the mess that is humanity. He met our community smack dab in the middle of our tension, and something has changed here….

  23. Kyle says:

Worship went really well, service was incredible and the great indicator of all that was how passionate and engaged our prayer time was before service. We have to confront a lot of issues and attitudes creeping into our congregation.

  24. LeAnn Thomas says:

Palm Sunday…what a blessing! Our Youth led worship, so Wayne and I had the day off. They lined the outside walkways with palm branches…it was beautiful, and a great reminder of Jesus’ entry…into our lives; hearts; midst.
