“Forever Grateful” – Solo Piano Improvisation by Fred McKinnon
Hello everyone,
It’s been a while (once again) since I recorded. This morning I decided that I’m going to just forget about all the work I have to do and sit down and record. I hit record and played the first chord and realized that in my rush, I hadn’t even prepared myself. I took a deep breath, whispered a quick prayer, and began to improvise. For the next six minutes, it was like escaping to another place.
I’ve realized that one of the hinderances I have to releasing new episodes – and it may seem ridiculous and petty – is trying to come up with some special new “title” and something to write here on the podcast notes. So, let’s agree together – I’ll just record and not worry about having anything fancy here for titles and recaps!
And with that, I give you my morning interlude. I’ve named it “Forever Grateful” as we’ve just finished our Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you for listening.
Grace and peace,
Fred McKinnon, Pianist/Composer
